The Hellenic Criminal Bar Association was founded in 1962 on the initiative of prominent criminal defence lawyers and today is 430 strong.

The aim of the Association is to encounter issues relating to the theory and practice of criminal law and procedure and to advance forensic practice and the status of the defence lawyer.

The Association has organized several discussions among experts and has critically commented provisions of bills and submitted amendments on laws relating to criminal law and procedure.
